About Us

Introduction

The Zambia Federation of Associations of Women in Business (ZFAWIB) is a country level non-governmental organisation whose main aim is to promote women’s entrepreneurial activitiesin all sectors of the Economy.

ZFAWIB was founded and registered in 1993 with assistance from the Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA National Commission for Development Planning (NCDP); and USAID.

The Federation is the Zambian Chapter of Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB); the National umbrella body for women entreprenuer associations in Zambia and anchors the Network of African Business Women (NABW)

Vision

To be the most effective organisation promoting the interests of women entreprenuers in Zambia. To be the epi-center for sustainable enterprise development through creative resourcing, partnerships and connections.

Mission

To propel women and young entreprenuers into the mainstream of economic activities through gender equality and promotion of descent and economic growth.
